Good Morning!!! What's in your breakfast bowl (or plate) this morning? I just finished listening to the incredible Future of Nutrition Conference hosted by Marc David of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. I hold a certificate in Mind/Body Nutrition Coaching through his on-line program, and it was an absolute pleasure to spend the past week listening to his incredible contributions, as well as the contributions of over 50 medical professionals. One of interviews that has really changed my morning routine is that of Donna Gates, author of the Body Ecology Diet. She talked about the importance of including raw cultured vegetables with every meal to ensure that you are offering your body the best alkaline producing foods. Another one of my mentors is Liz Lipski, who often says that "breakfast is the first opportunity you have to set your body up properly for optimal health throughout the day"

This morning I have chosen a ripe avocado (healthy fat=brain health) and raw locally made sauerkraut, full of naturally occurring probiotics, which are essential for optimal health. I will finish this off with freshly squeezed organic grapefruit juice, and organic green tea. Give this a try sometime, and let me know how you feel!
